My heart is filled with rejoicing as today, June 15, 2009 marks the one year anniversary of the release of Rewriting Your Emotional Script. Reflecting back, I am amazed at all God has done through this book. Here are just a few highlights of the past year:
Many radio interviews. I rejoice at all God did through these interviews. Not only did the interviews get the word out about the book, but many listeners wrote in afterward about the encouragement they received while listening. Finally, I personally grew to develop new skills in learning how to be interviewed.
An on-the-air Bible study with Midday Connection. Working with Anita Lustrea and Melinda Schmidt was an absolute joy on Moody’s Midday Connection. We formed a “small group” on the air and many small group Bible studies around the country tuned in. Listeners were also (and are still able) to join an online forum where they dialogue with each other and me about the topics we discussed on the air. If you didn’t get a chance to join, those Bible studies can still be heard on www.middayconnection.org
Several churches have started groups designed for hurting women using Rewriting your Emotional Script. The emails of the women who have done these studies makes me want to weep. Women are finding healing and hope through Jesus Christ. God has been so good!
Incarcerated women will have the opportunity to join small group Bible Studies using Rewriting your Emotional Script this fall. (If you would like to purchase a book for an incarcerated woman and commit to praying for her as she journeys through this study, please contact me.)
Many Halfway houses are considering using Rewriting Your Emotional Script as a recovery faith based study.
Rewriting Your Emotional Script is now published in Polish and a group in Kenya is looking to publish it into Swahili!
Several counseling centers are recommending Rewriting Your Emotional Script to their clients.
A new downloadable leader’s guide will be available this fall (2009) on www.navpress.com and www.beckyharling.com
As I reflect back, my heart is amazed at all God is doing through this book. How I praise Him that He is the one able to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20)
